Essendon Hockey was established in 2017 as a new hockey community encompassing the historic and long-standing Essendon Hockey Club (Men), Essendon Ladies Hockey Club (Women) and Essendon Hockey Juniors.
The past successes have produced a proud Essendon Hockey where we continue to: – Provide an inclusive and accessible environment for all – Provide a range of programs for high performance, emerging, developing and social players – Provide pathways for development as well as senior hockey transition – Foster and promote a hockey community that participates in the Junior State Championships, Junior Country Championships, Senior Country Championships, Indoor Club Championships, Stand Out Cup, Women and Girls Round, Pride Round, Indigenous Round and Men’s Health Round. – Be welcoming to all new players and promote the ‘love of the game’ to the wider community.

– Provide a wide range of teams across the sections- catering for both elite, developing & social players of all ages.
– Provide pathways for junior development & recruitment- developing & enhancing the skills of our junior players & also transitioning into senior hockey.
– Be welcoming to all new players and promote the ‘love of the game’ to the wider community.

Our Hockey Club
Essendon Hockey Centre has facilities that includes, clubrooms, change rooms, parking, accessible facilities 2 hybrid hockey pitches, with spectator seating and team shelters. We are located less than 10 minutes from the Melbourne Central Business District and our hockey centre is also accessible by bus, tram and train.
Essendon Hockey acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the lands on which we play this game, the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation. We pay our respect to elders past, present and emerging
