In 2017 a new Essendon Hockey community was established encompassing Essendon Hockey Club (Men), Essendon Ladies Hockey Club (Women) and Essendon Hockey Juniors.
This combination enables Essendon Hockey to:
– Provide an inclusive environment catering for players of all ages & abilities- men, women, junior boys and girls & their families.
– Provide a wide range of teams across the sections- catering for both elite, developing & social players of all ages.
– Provide pathways for junior development & recruitment- developing & enhancing the skills of our junior players & also transitioning into senior hockey.
– Be welcoming to all new players and promote the ‘love of the game’ to the wider community.
Essendon Hockey proudly participates in the Fair Go, Sport! and the Good Sports program.
Our Hockey Club
Essendon Hockey Centre has facilities that include 2 sand based hockey pitches, located less than 10 minutes from the Melbourne Central Business District. The Essendon Hockey community not only focuses on hockey but also a family friendly environment that is inclusive of all.
From the top flight of Victorian Hockey, to social and local teams, we have a team for you. We welcome new players of any standard.
We welcome new players of all abilities and are especially focused on providing pathways for our junior girls to transition to senior hockey.
We are focused on providing an inclusive environment where opportunities are provided for all players to develop their individual skills and game play.
